The Costume Museum of Madrid, in collaboration with Grupo Cortefiel and the Fashion Designers Association of Spain, has presented the exhibition Homage to Pedro del Hierro, by reason of his official retirement as a fashion designer. A sample loaded with color, beauty and sophistication that will be open until 8 May.
The exhibition displays 25 haute couture creations by designer Cortefiel Madrid that the Group has donated to the Museum. CIPE in order to become part of the permanent funds of the institution.
In addition to these suits, the exhibition offers the public a collection of photographs taken expressly for this occasion in which the photographer has portrayed Sylvia Polakov 10 women of great social significance that have wanted to pay tribute to the designers posing with their costumes.
These models, aristocrats, writers ... that over the years have maintained a special relationship with Pedro del Hierro: Aline Romanones, Béatrice d 'Orléans, Cristina de Hohenlohe, Barbara Cano, Jose Toledo, Juncal Rivero, Remedios Cervantes Carla Royo-Villanova, Nieves Alvarez and Maria de Leon.
"I always thought it was going to die making dresses but the reality has been different. Now almost no work because the heart and prevent me from doing my illness. In these circumstances, seeing that some of my creations are integrated into the collections of the Museum of Costume is a great satisfaction, as is the fact that my firm will continue to have life and present several dozen countries.
