The designer Paco Gil (Elda, Alicante, 1947) is well known in the fashion world for its innovative and sophisticated designs of shoes. Its collections are trendsetters and benchmark for many women. There are Manolos or Jimmy Choo or Louboutin, but have nothing to enviarderles. To Princess Letizia is aimed at the Paco Gil.

More than shoes, Paco Gil creates art for the feet. In this interview he talks about his Spring-Summer, preferences, and their best kept secrets when it comes to design.
Since 1982, the year in which the company was founded, has become a recognized signature. Where have you lived your success?
Above all we have insisted on quality product, we are not just a shoe factory, our designs are studied in minute detail, we see trends and apply them in the final product provided under a philosophy of signature qualities that are indisputable.
The fashion industry is very concerned because the moment we live. What do you think are the bases to stay?

Each new collection is a journey. There came a whole day and I do, but for a few months researching on something I have drawn attention, new materials, always following a line and taking clear that there are molds that our customers expect, heights and forms that always be a collection of Paco Gil. What kind of woman you design your shoes?
Young-spirited women, urban, professional, financially independent. Interested in fashion, but without becoming a fashion victims.
Although you adapt to trends, do you prefer to design, classic or parts that make a fashion?

The colors and materials are very important, although I must admit that this collection of Spring-Summer 2011 is one of the most colorful of recent years, and I love it, you have to give optimism to life!

I am a great lover of good food, good food and good wine, even I own with my brother and partner in a winery. Smell is one of my most developed senses, when I travel I love getting lost in the markets and the smells, of that passion came the name, and if you look many of the colors I used in this collection are like some of the exotic spices.

It is a collection very feminine and delicate, full of details and where heels, very high, are the protagonists, and luxurious materials.

Espardilles wedge for summer, for winter boots and stiletto salon or as basic for any season.
Why do you think that celebrities are more inclined to international firms in choosing their accessories than domestic?
We always prefer the outside than inside, and how many designers do not have to have to succeed outside of Spain and then do it here ...? in that we are different enough from other countries, which are far more patriotic than here, and not only in the case of celebrities, but of the people in the street as well.
Why do you think that Louboutin has become fashionable?
Louboutin is a teacher, but has a good marketing strategy behind it. The fact that many celebrities take their designs also helped him a lot, but to Caesar what is Caesar, a genius, and thanks to him people have started to give greater importance to the design of the shoe.
Who would like to see wear or wear your shoes?
I like going down the street and see any elegant woman wearing my designs, this is what I filled my job, or someone you know who I am away from me and tell me how happy she is every time they carry a couple mine.
