Changes in the direction of two of our favorite firms: John Ermatinger, who was CEO of GAP for Asia, has just signed by Tommy Hilfiger, the Asian market is already prepared for a new strategy.
GAP's success is well known (from Spain can be purchased through the website of UK), and the jump from Hilfiger to the entire Asian mecado management has in mind a manager who has led Japan GAP three years; came in with a staggering success in China, also addressed the leap from Nike to the Far East. Previously, she was director of Levi Strauss & Co.
In the words of new CEO
After five successful years with Gap Japan and more recently in China too, am excited about the opportunity to become part of Tommy Hilfiger. I think the DNA of the brand Tommy Hilfiger Central makes it very attractive to youth market in Asia and the base from which it is very important and will work through the territory. There is a great opportunity to achieve significant growth and I am eager to build a business that further improve the general proposition related to the specific needs of this market.
