How did you start in the fashion world?

The family business of garments and arrangements as was the first link I had with fashion. From there I enrolled at the Academy of Design Felicidad Duce and later at St. Martins in London. My back is when I decided to start my own studio and start what is now the brand Mary Escoté.

When I start a collection, my mind is like a sponge, everything influences.

Degree studied Fine Arts and Design and a master colorist advisor ... what you brought these studies to your career?

I learned a lot, I could relate to people working in the field and also the period for a year allowed me to practice with a fashion company. That experience was very valid. The master was fantastic, I was lucky to have a teacher to Mary Poch and learn from his great sense of color.

You've also worked in the family business, taking charge of the tailoring shops in two ... I guess this will bring a wealth of experience, right?

Of course nothing beats the real world to learn. People working in these workshops are very professional. I grew up and learned a lot with them.

The Ego is a very good platform, in my opinion the best for young people to show their collections.

Then you go to London, where you do a course in Fashion Drawing at Saint Martins ... Tell us the experience.

There you surround yourself with people around the world. The amount of imputs is amazing. The mentality of the teachers are very open and teach you to be free to the design. No doubt this experience opened my mind and something that helps me even today when facing the new collections

What inspires you when designing?

When I start a collection, my mind is like a sponge, everything influences. Friends, books, film, painting, music ... all support me, little by little, to reel off what will be the concept and the attitude of my next show.

Before you went through the Ego Cibeles, which will participate in three editions. What did this start for you pre-Cibeles?

The Ego is a very good platform, in my opinion the best for young people to show their collections.

I look for ways to streamline and energize my business to reach a wider audience and not be alone in Spain. It seems important to work towards internationalization.

First time at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week was in September 2011, when you presented your collection in the main calendar ... how did you feel before, during and after the show?

The magic of the first show is unique. A mixture of nerves and excitement. It was fantastic.

What was that moment when you say desfilas in the official calendar?

She was delighted, it was time for me to jump to Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week

And the second time do you see differently?

Not when it comes to the parade you can not help feeling a sort of magic and excitement.

Do you feel a fondness for 80's? ... Because in all your collections will appreciate this touch.

I was born in 80! The 80 were a time very identity. I feel like my decade, is something that comes naturally to me.

What we have to have three pieces in your wardrobe this summer do you?

To begin with good shoes from Jeffrey Campbell for Mary Escoté. Leopard can not miss on any garment. And of course one of my bikers.

What will we see your next collection of Cybele?

To you I'm going to tell! (Laughs) That's top secret!

The crisis is much the fashion world ... what do you think is the solution?

If it is true that the crisis is seen in all sectors and also in ours. I look for ways to streamline and energize my business to reach a wider audience and not be alone in Spain. It seems important to work towards internationalization. Through my website and selling online www.mariaescote.com today, this is much more feasible. The goal, take the brand to expand Mary Escoté so you can continue to grow. I guess every company must know how to find the way forward.

What is your idea of the future, how would you like?

I imagine it surrounded by my people, to continue working and going to all the world with my clothes.

And finally ... what is your dream in this wonderful world?

Love, love, and love.
